installing the game no shortcuts made

i installed the gamw from the disk (not steam) after installation the gme loaded up straight away and have been playing it this afternoon, but after turning it off and trying to get back on it i realised it has not created a short cut on the desk top. or in the sart menu

when i insert the cd it asks to run auto play which makes nothnig happen if i click it, or to open folder to view files, i cannot find out how to start the game when i view files but only how to install the game?

Any ideas?????

Start -> All Programs -> SI -> FM10 -> drag the link onto your desktop.

it hasnt installed it into my start menu either, i cant find it any where

Try this:

Start -> Search -> All Files And Folders -> type in "Football Manager 2010" into the 'all or part of the file name' box.

iv done tht too, when i open the folder it has details of saved game info such as db, tactis, skins etc etc

it appears tht it just has not installed the file to start the game up

this is the 2nd reinstall,

only thing i can think of is to install via steam instead, but as it does not require disk does it mean it will use more space on my computer? just i have a lap top which isnt that high spec (cheapy pc world)

I dont know. I think the disc is only needed for the startup of the game, and Steam saves the autorun thingy.

Installing through Steam does mean that you have to keep your interent connection on, unless you install in offline mode.

If you are using Vista or Windows 7 the game doesn't create a shortcut on the desktop or in the start menu as that's how Microsoft want it.

A Shortcut to the game will be created in the Games Explorer that should be on your Start Menu.

If you want a desktop shortcut you'll need to create your own one.
