Too many players offered to me? (Player naming)

I think I'm like most people in that when I play with a world class club, I try to plan not only for this year, but for the future. But on this particular save, I've been offered so many great players (Dzeko, Cavani, Zapata, Kjaer, Ribery) that are upset about their contracts, or looking for a new challenge, or don't like their manager on such great deals that my youngsters will never get to play.

I guess it's either too many players get upset at their clubs, or the AI is not smart enough to bid on these ridiculously good deals?

Conversely, why is it so hard to sign players from teams that don't make the Champions League? I'd imagine except for ultra loyal players, any player from a top 4 team that doesn't make the CL would have to at least discuss a transfer?
