The Fabster
Well, it's not the first time this has happened to me, but previously it was because of my cd drive and the game was not being recognized at all. It is now being recognized, after I changed the drive, but when I try to run it, click the shortcut, that message pops up. It's really annoying because it worked perfectly for a couple of days. All my other games are working, I'm on Windows XP professional and am the administrator (not a limited account), so there are no problems there. I'm assuming it's the cd (which has got a couple of scratches). But if so, why did it work properly at first (only a couple of hours ago)? And how can I fix it? I've tried cleaning it. This is on Football Manager 07 btw. On a side note, I might not be so worried about it because I was preparing to order FM10 in a couple of days, but after looking though here it seems there are several issues with it, which is what's putting me off, as I'm fairly comfortable with FM07. Recommendations please? Thanks in advance.
The Fabster
Apologies, seems I've posted this in the wrong forum.
fyl2u
I've seen this before... Isn't it to do with the order of the drive letters when you've got more than 1 CD or DVD drive?
Kickballz
It does sound like a multiple drive problem. Have you tried simply restarting your pc with the game in the required cd/dvd drive?
