livnew
I'm Arsenal, just finished first season and came second, however, the chairman has offered me a contract. I want to stay on and I'm just about to accept the contract but what is the wage for? I can't exactly spend it and so I might as well accept the least amount of cash otherwise it will eat into our clubs wage budget. So what is the point in negotiating a higher wage? baker.simon
The higher your wage the more it will cost to sack you. Basically it will cost more compensation so the board will seriously think before they sack you. Its an extra job security thing

headhunter_uni23
If it had an impact on the credit players give you, it would be nice to know. As I’m short on wage budget with my current team I don’t ask for more than the board offers. IRL I’ve heard some rumors about players disregarding their coach because of the huge wage difference between them but I don’t know if this has a big impact on the team overall performance and if such things happen in FM.
