Hide players box missing

Please help me somebody

I have just started a new season with Brighton on the full game which i got from my bro for xmas, i have been playing the demo on and off with no real issues.

I have played a few friendlies without this problem but when i loaded up the other day i went to the 1st team screen and noticed that the box where you can filter out injured/unavaliable players isnt there.

If i go on to my reserves/u18s i can do it and also if i add a new manager or look at another team but just not on my own first team.

Does anybody know how to fix this i have looked everywhere to see if i have turned it off anywhere with no luck, please can someone help as i dont want to start the game again as i have now got a link with spurs and also got Darron Gibson on a Season loan and hes a real decent player for a league 1 side.
