Arkim
I've never seen this before and figured I'd ask why this is happening. The first thing that I thought of was where a player would ask more money from a club if he is to be sold/to leave, but then I thought that would only be until the player moves to another club. Any ideas?
lcutty
Someone on the forum said the other day its you paying the player the difference for the drop in wages the player is getting in his new contract.
Tomer
I've had it twice in my game. I sold my right back to some French outfit and I had to keep paying him a third of what he made. Arsenal is currently sending Carlos Vela monthly pay checks.

Kickballz
the question begs to be asked, why the f**k are Real Madrid need someone to sub there players wages?!?!?!?!?!?! have they gone bust in there new galacticos era You mean "The question which is raised" 'Begging the question' means asking a question to which the answer is already assumed (a logical fallacy and not the meaning you intended). The phrase is often misused in modern English, especially in American English. Otherwise, I agree completely.
DovMcLaren
Happened with me at City. Sold Jo to everton, pay him £15,000p/w and he has the cheek to score against me when i play them!!

Thanks for the clear up.
mackemforever
It happens when the player wants to leave the club BUT won't take the wage drop that the other club are proposing, so the ask for their wage to be topped up by the club they are leaving. pompeyfan
I had a player on 17k per week demanding 24k per week for 2 seasons to move on - needless to say he could get stuffed.

leavingtrain
This happened quite a bit for me when managing Manchester City. I'd try to offload a player, and since the purchasing club couldn't afford wages, the player would demand the difference be paid. Paying 40K a week for Wright-Phillips to play at Arsenal was painful. phnompenhandy
In real life, this was one of the issues that brought Leeds United down. They shipped out their high-spenders such as Robbie Fowler but still had to fork out millions every year in supplementing their wages.
ndebergerac
Had a player on 110,00 a week, he wanted me to pay 89,000 a week to move. The buying club was Barcelona...WTF?!?!
