Holiday mode and assistant manager

Thought i would try a tactic out in holiday mode so left my assistant in charge and sat back for awhile.

I then took a peek to see how it was going and i notice some players were all of a sudden ineligible for the next game.

Im managing Portsmouth and we are not in europe and the certain players i gave a squad number too.

Any reason for this?? Would it be the assistant is changing the squad numbers as he pleases so then these players are made ineligible?

If its outside of the transfer window, then the squad numbers cannot be changed. Did you go on holiday after the endof the transfer window, or before?

Its possible they played another match that day (reserves maybe) and that would make them ineligible.
