Make a server??

how do i make a server or a game that me and a friend of me can play in???

go to preferences - network - then tick run as server.

then go on to game status and write down the IP address (if theres 2 its normally the 2nd)

then give that to ur m8 and get him to load the game then go on join network game then down the bottom join another server then he just enters your IP. you both gota b playin on same version so if you playin on the original or the update you both got to be on same.

im trying.. I just started the game so im not that pro.. can you tell me step by step what to do?

And do i need steam? i downloaded the game without steam
