Beginner's questions

Hi everybody,

I'm new to FM after I got a voucher for Football Manager 2009. I'm into a game in Germany's third division and have been rather successfull until now. But I do need some advice regarding a few things here and there:

- Generally I feel a lack of post-match feedback. I see each player's rating but they are more or less in the same range anyways, no one really shined or failed me.

- I'd like to assess my oponents better. I get an assistant's report with the oponent's top player, their formation, their pitch layout etc. but I muss a general overview of the whole division, for example. I'd like to see my team's strength compared to other teams, ratings for my team's attack, defense etc to identify what players to hire. Did I miss these screens or do they simply not exist?
