Surely a conspiracy

Is it just me or has anybody else noticed that the majority of cup ties is an away fixture to a tough team because i am really struggling to understand how every draw being made (maybe exaggerated but definately the majority) i find myself playing away from home against a tough opponent.

Just unlucky i'm afraid

i hear a lot of complaints about this sort of thing but playing as liverpool when there are only two or three non-premiership teams left in either the fa cup or league cup i usually draw them, i guess i'm getting all the good luck.

extremely unlucky it seems as have just scraped past Sunderland on penalties (away) and have been rewarded with a nice trip to Villa Park

I would question the 'just unlucky' claim. In my Norwich City save, I will invariably get a prem team in the FA Cup 3rd round. If I somehow manage to pull off a win, I will get Chelsea in the next round without fail.

i think there is something written in about cup ties that you are slightly more likely to play your rivals, but i might be wrong.

well it also depends who u class as dificult and its not just the teams im playing i find strange, its the fact i always seem to be drawn away from home that really bugs me. Am really enjoying my game but it really cant be a coincedence that my cup games are played away from home and/or against tough teams ie in top half of division i am in or above

From memory, on my FA cup winning Man City save:

3rd round: away to Man U (3-1 win, surprisingly!)

4th round: home to Shrewsbury (8-0 win)

5th round: home to Coventry (can't remember the score, 1-0 I think, fielded the reserves)

Is there a 6th round? Can't remember

Quarters: away to Liverpool (2-0 win)

Semis: neutral with Villa (4-0 win)

Final: Chelsea (1-1, won 5-4 on pens)

Swings and roundabouts, I'd say.

Also, 3rd-5th rounds were on the old patch, onwards is 10.2
