Super Striker
Since 10.2 my 3D match engine has become quite slow and jerky, when it was smooth as silk prior to installing. Are there any changes I can make apart from uninstalling the patch that'd ammend this?
rinso
make sure graphics drivers etc are fully up to date, and see if that changes anything.
Super Striker
Its not my drivers or my hardware thats the problem, or else it wouldnt have been smooth before installing. It's a change in the patch that has caused it.
rinso
Exactly, which is why, with the latest ME version, you should check your drivers and make sure theyre up to date. If the coding for the match engine has changed, then that could cause the problem you're experiencing.

Neil Dejyothin
Since 10.2 my 3D match engine has become quite slow and jerky, when it was smooth as silk prior to installing. Are there any changes I can make apart from uninstalling the patch that'd ammend this? Can you elaborate and provide further detail? At what point are you experiencing slowdown and jerkiness? Is it like this the whole time or just some of the time? If it's the latter, is there any particular pattern as to when it happens? A few things you could try: - If you are using widgets, is the performance still the same with them visible or not? - If you turn off things like sound, crowd and weather effects, do these issues still persist? - Have you tried clearing your cache? This may be worth giving a go and details on how to do this are below. How do I delete my Cache files? First of all you need to turn on hidden files and folders. XP: My Computer 'Tools' 'Folder Options'. The go to the 'View' tab and select 'Show hidden files and folders' VISTA and 7: My Computer 'Organize' 'Folder and Search Options'. The go to the 'View' tab and select 'Show hidden files and folders' Once this is done, follow the instructions below: Windows XP: 1. Open “My Computer” 2. Navigate to : “Documents and Settings\<Username>\Application Data\ 3. Go into the “Sports Interactive” Folder. 4. Go to the “Football Manager 2010” Folder. 5. Delete the 'cache' Folder found inside here. Wndows Vista and 7: 1. Click “Start” 2. Click your username on the start Menu 3. Click on “AppData” and then “Roaming” 4. Go into the “Sports Interactive” Folder 5. Go to the “Football Manager 2010” Folder. 6. Delete the 'cache' Folder found inside here. Hope this helps. Ezequiel_Lavezzi
I noticed my game is now jerky as well after installing 10.2. Considering I was playing today and it was fine, then installed 10.2 and suddenly the match engine is a little jumpy. Please do not ask me to update my drivers because I am a freak when it comes to my PC and keep every single thing up to date (and never have crashes), but the match engine jerkiness has occurred for me from time to time (also seems to be random as well but this time its here to stay as soon as 10.2 was installed - cant seem to shake it off).
