ArsenalFan7
Over the years will countries become more/less developed? I figured there may be wars in countries or maybe places in Africa finally become more developed? Does anyone know if things like this happen? Real life situations such as wars or Natural disasters ruining countries? Places like Africa finally developing and producing larger stadiums etc? Anyone? The Sean
I don't know how this would even be attempted in this game. What kind of code would this take to account for this? How would you 'hard code' certain developed nations not falling victim to this yet retain any sense of realism?
ArsenalFan7
I see your point.
Leto2626
Well that's no argument, they made a complete virtual football world with tons of stats for 1 player, which aren't in numbers in real life, so why wouldn't someone think of a way for developing nations, can be done in minor influence, like 0.1% growth per year whatever depending on neighbors or something, add in populations of countries .. but then you're not working on football anymore of course, there are other games for this, although it would be cool to have some events outside football happening
swisso
Nations and Leagues are static and cannot improve. I know SI are looking at the League situation and as such i suspect it will have some impact on the Nations too. It might never come though.
phnompenhandy
SI doesn't do politics or predict economic futures.
ArsenalFan7
If only they did. They should invent War Manager where I can control any army. I'd start off as Russia and use my tactics to conquer the USA. But they should really involve politics in this game. To make it real To The Max. stevvy
You can't predict anything in terms of wars, natural disasters, countries dveeloping or not, etc, so it'd be impossible to implement with any sense of realism. You can't suddenly have no stadiums in SA because of a war in the game, or a sudden halving of the Population of the USA because of a natural disaster of some sort. Unrealistic, and impossible to implement.
Jack Rudd
Population change is certainly possible to implement in a realistic manner: look at long-term trends in the populations of countries, and get the populations to change at a percentage rate based on those long-term trends. (A Normal Distribution with the same mean and variance as those data points give should do the trick admirably.)
Death.
If they did, people would be crying about it being totally unrealistic when Benin beat Brazil in the World Cup. If you wanted to shake up the football hierarchy though you could go into the editor and edit the reputation of leagues yourself, so over time i'd imagine they'd improve or weaken.
