Anyway to change the amount of time being processed in transfer windows?

Playing a network game with a mate, anyway, it takes us about 20 minutes to do a single day at the moment because of the persistence of the game clock stopping every 15 - 30 minutes. A prime example is we start the day at 6:30am game time, anyway 6 continues later and we're not even at 11am. It's incredibly tedious for the pair of us as our game is slowed down to a snail pace when we're at the stage in our transfer dealings where we want some quicker movement to get the players in and get on with the season.

Is there any way to adjust this?
