My dumb little wish for a future FM...managers on the sidelines.

This has probably been mentioned before, and it's completely unnecessary really, but I play all my matches in the classic 2D format and I really want to see little virtual managers stalking the sidelines during the match.

i agree again. I would love this, also id like to be at the dugout side please SI so i can really be the manager and not a fan lol.

I figure it cant be too hard to add to the 2D engine.

Then they might be able to add a manager view, but that's probably too far.

i'd love to see little staff dots down on the field as well. it'd be a nice little addition to the 2d match engine i also primarily watch.

It's kinda there in the 3D view. Yer man is in his teccie box, and the new 'touchline view' is from his eyes. It's the one I used by default - not because it gives the best view, but because of the realism.

But touchline view scrolls along with the play! Not sure the manager would be running up and down the stand.

Only if we can chose what he does on the touchline.

Is he type of manager who sits calmly in the dugout and only sometimes comes into the technical area, or his he the type who jumps up and down on the touchline if the ref gives a throw in to the wrong team?

id love a little me stood in the dugout (but it would involve picking skin colour etc. when creating a game) and ideally a camera view that is from there static and looking out

Yes would be a cool feature. Would be great to see him running down the line Mourino Style if you score a really important goal.

Funny this is, my team won a penalty shootout last night and all the players came running on the pitch and I thought 'If I was manager in RL I would be on there with them'. Then I thought we should have a manager on the bench.

I like the idea of choosing which type of manager you would be before you start a game aswell, including what he would wear. This is something FM could learn from This Is Football!
