How long does a season take?

I intend to buy FMH2007. One of the few things I don't like about FM is how long it takes to get through a season. I've never played a game longer than one season -- short attention span, I guess. Does FMH play quicker? I'd settle for less detail if it allows me to actually complete a career in a reasonable amount of time (say, two to three weeks) and still have a life.

change the speed of the match , make it to 'very fast' and a match should take longer than 10,20 seconds. You probably have it on medium thats why

I think that it is extremely fast getting through seasons, and it is possible to get through a season a day if you play long enough.

If you play at a fast rate, you should get it done in a few hours.

Wow, that sounds good. My problem is that I'm kind of a micromanager. I've got to tinker as a manager or I'm just not trying. But even at medium speed a season a week would be just perfect!
