teej9
I'm 2016 and have just had a match against a newly promoted Spurs. They went down for a couple of seasons and during their time in the CC they have retrained Crouchy to play as a DC, he now starts at 35 in the EPL. On my spurs save I recently played Bradford in the F.A cup with a 38 year old Peter Crouch playing in midfield.
baker.simon
Hasn't Crouch already got experience of playing at the back? Im sure i read that somewhere. It does seem logical though, he is tall and can head the ball. I think he would need to bulk up IRL though
Ellis_D
Hmmmm, there is a bug someone has spotted where if you train a striker up to be a defender, and keep him on training that suits a striker, his attacking attributes will massively increase. It is a cheat of sorts. I can't remember the thread, but a mod,SI staff member said it doesn't matter if you don't use it, it would only be a problem if the AI did so. So here is the beginning of it - Crouch being converted to a defender.
H Y P Z
So what you are saying is the AI is inherently evil and is attempting to exploit a bug in the matrix?

I could only see it becoming a problem if they started doing it to 17/18 year olds.
DanGLiverpool
Sure he has some form of rating for defender at the start, may be wrong though.
Ty
Next they will be saying that Zigic could be trained as a DC... *Goes off to try *

teej9
He's rated as accomplished now but his attacking numbers haven't gone up. He also has terrible marking and tackling still.
HunkOfJunk
At 35 he is too old for it to have any affect on his attributes.
Freindly lemon
Crouch would be a okay centre back so can see why he is there.
