Foreigners in Ukraine?

I don't know if it's a bug, or it's intentional but:

I am playing in Ukraine, and in the 1st season you can have 7 foreigners in the first 11

In the 2nd season you can have 6

And now in the 3rd season you can have 5

My questions: Is this intentional? Will it stop being lowered? Or will it lower itself by one each season, untill I end up with only Ukrainians?

Or is it an unfortunate bug?

Presumably they're lowering it, just like the increases in home grown player requirements in the CL a few years ago. I'm managing there at the moment (from 2018-2019) and its still 5 foreigners.

I was assuming it was to protect ukrainian talent. I just got a bit worried

As far as I know the Ukranian FA have put rules in place which basically ensure the situation you are seeing now in real life, as a way of safeguarding homegrown talent (remember they are not an EU or EEA country so they don't have the rules other European countries have re freedom of travel or work).

I know that, and I wasn't bashing the rules. It was just to make sure that it wouldn't go further down, so it was 4 in season 4, 3 in season 5 and so on by mistake

No unless they changed the way they've coded the rules from last year's game. I believe 5 is the stop pointy in real life too, althugh that can change.
