Free Kick takers left and right?

When you choose in the tactics who takes the free kicks it states Left and Right.

Now is this from the Left and Right side of the pitch the free kick is taken??

Just curious because sometimes depending where on the right hand side its being taken it is at times better for a left footed player to take it.

Managing Spurs ive got Cardozo 19,Beckham 18,Van Der Vaart 17 ratings for free kicks with Cardozo and Beckham being right footed and Van Der Vaart stronger as a left footer.

Yes it does mean that. As with corner takers, I always go:

right side > left footer

left side > right footer

Although there are occasions where you would want a left footed player to take a free kick on the left hand side, there is no way (that I now of) to select free kick takers on a per-kick basis.

for me i will put lefty on right side and right on left side.

I also put players who have the "Hits free kicks with power" PPM to both sides of the pitch.

I allow for some swing. I'd rather Beckham took the kick from the right than BAE, for example, and I'd rather VDV took the one on the left than Lennon.
