Monthly payments

Recommended Posts

It really comes down to which approach you support.

1 being that football clubs will generally make losses every month, until the summer when key income is received to send you back into the black. Get all your transfer business done in the summer and then take the monthly losses throughout the year until next summer.

2 being whether you want to potentially make a profit every month by selling players over X months, but see no big transfer income in the summer and rely on Prize Money, TV Income and Season Tickets to generate some big transfer funds. Selling him for £10m over X months won't give you £10m to spend instantly. It'll drip through on a monthly basis and you'll notice the Transfer Budget increasing slightly.

I'm a follower of the 2nd approach, signing and selling players over 48month deals and trying to build a balance up via income gained in the summer.
