reillyg
Is there anyway to get around a failed medical? I tried to sign a player, but the board blocked it as the player has an injury. Can I get around this? If not mabye it should be added to the game, as players like Aquilani have signed for clubs despite long injuries.

Ruud Van Nistelrooys move to ManU was delayed for a year because of his serious injury. Aquilani was almost back from his when Liverpool came calling. Elmo
You generally have to wait until they are fit and rebid.

trekman
If the injury icon is yellow\orange(?) then there is a good chance that he should pass the medical ok and the board will not object\stop the transfer. If the injury is red then its likely to be something serious like the one that Ruud Van Nistelrooy had and in those circumstances there is no way he'll pass a medical and the board will cancel the transfer because of this. I think this is perhaps one area of the game that could possibly be expanded and improved upon. I think the inclusion of say a doctor or specialist report would be a good idea then you could decide weather it is too much of a risk to complete the transfer. Most clubs have a club doctor but you never see them in fm. If the injury is very serious and the player is still several months away from fitness then perhaps the option to have the medical and complete the transfer at a later date would also be a good addition for the game. lawsie
yeah its annoying that, although i have signed players with injuries but other ones tend to get blocked with no real pattern to it from what i can see.
Serdar
I think the game should not use current injueries but overall injury rate of the player. I once got my transfer cancelled because he got injured for 3 weeks after playing 20 official matches already by the end of december. His 3 weeks was obviously a random case and there was no reason for him to be risky after 3 weeks.
AlbanianVictimAgain
I had a bid accepted for Carlos Vela (I'm Carlisle - would be a huge signing!) even accepting £11,000 a week less than what he wanted but he was out for 6 weeks with broken leg. He failed. His injury thing is now yellow, have rebid but there's a few other teams after him. If he fails a medical for you, does he fail at every other club as well? Would be very annoying if the other teams didn't have such restraints.
