What should he have?

What you reckon? I'd say good scouting skills to start, as i always think it's handy to have an assistant to help you decide on who should be brought in and who should be sold. Also i reckon motivation can be good, especially when you 'ask assistant' during team talks, and tactical knowledge, man management and discipline are always good i think.

I only have mine as a scout and high tactical ability. I don't use vacations so I don't care about his manegement. But I sometimes send him on press conferences so I care about that aspect, I want him to be uncontroversial and positive in character.

I always go for high judging ability, so his advice on players talent and the best lineup is accurate, and motivating, so his team talk advice is better. after those two, id look for tactic and then discipline.

I look for high stats in Judging ability\potential, Motivation, Man Management & Tactical Knowledge.

May I ask which attributes are important for press conferences? Is that man management? I read people mentioning the "media friendly" personality trait, but that can't be it, right?

Probably Man Management and adaptability. A media friendly manager could be more prone to upsetting players than a non-media, but the same could be said of the opposite so i don't think this matters.

It's worth looking at how they like to play, if you're really picky, and coaching style.

I think personality etc would come into play more if they get offered a manager job themselves.
