This Game Is Dirty, Yellow, Red, Fouls, Pen Bug

Recommended Posts

Or is it my team?

This is just the Primer league you could easily add an additional 30 yellow cards from Champions League, FA, League Cups, not to mention 3/4 red cards.

But the other clubs seems just as dirty. I don't play hard tackles, if anything all is on defaults. There was one time I had all 4 of my centre backs on suspensions. Had to field my two Defensive midfielders as CBs.

Also the amount of Pens seems too high to me too. These stats are from 35 games. I have 3 more games till end of season. So good indication of how bad the yellow, red, pen bug is.

I think this year the level of attributes has been turned up a notched. Example, If player has shoot from distance as a PPM and your tactical instructions for Long Shot is to "Sometimes" he will go out with Long Shot set as Often.

I think this is the same with tackling other attributes like Opposition Instructions, PPM Marks tightly, PPM Forceful tackle, Team Instructions all contribute to turning Tackling and Longshot a notch or two high then Personal Instructions.

Most of my red cards come from a player going for a header and "tripping" the opposing player.I then put him on easy tackling and he just does it again.Happens all the time no matter what i do.And then my striker is through on goal and gets wiped out but yet the offender doesnt even get a yellow.Very strange.

I was going to post a thread just like this one.

In my game with Zenit no team in the league has less then 3 red cards for the season and most teams have around 5-6 red cards with 2 teams having 9 reds.

Also keep in mind that the Russian league is 30 games long.

Definitely a problem here.

Same issue here. Averaging almost a penalty per game and probably just as many red cards. Ended many games with 9 men and sold a defender after assuming he was just a thug. Only to find that all my defenders do this on whatever setting I have tackling.

Opposition are getting a lot sent off too but probably not as many as my teams.

Do you guys use ask ass man for Opposition Instructions? I did for the first 20 games but found out he had "hard" on tackling on pretty much every player on the team including the opposite manager.

I think AI set their Opposition Instructions on hard tacking too.

Try setting your central defenders as limited defenders. If youre using an DMC set his tackling easy.Worked for me for a season and i also stopped using offside trap which was causing lots of cards.Oh and Dont use man marking, use tight marking

Yea far too much red cards. Im just had 3 in 3 games. 2 of them was the same player, one time in league, other time in uefa cup.

You think the players would learn about their mistakes, because I always fine my players when they get a red card. But seems they keep doing it.

Not the point of setting defenders to limited. What if I want to play central defender? Can't really.

Seems to be a clear bug where players show more aggression then normal or refs are Paul Daniels producing cards left right and centre. Long shot bug is a problem, reducing to rarely seems to be ok but still not the point.

SI needs to have a look at this.

It seems fairly even to me on the stats you've given?

Or do you have more examples where they are wildly different?

Edit: Should have said, the above are the actual Premiership stats for those seasons.

Something I've noticed is that when I ask my assistant to choose my opposition instructions (Sammy lee at Liverpool) he literally sets hard tackling on every opposition player except for the keeper - could this be the cause?

One other thing that bothers me is the number of subs made by the opposition either before or during the half time interval. About 80% of the team the opposition has made 2 subs going into the second half...

No, as I said in my thread, tackling was normal.

Thats all very nice, but when tackling is set to normal I expect to be in the middle of those stats, not winning the bookings table.

Played about 12 games in my season in level 10 of England. Early days I noticed a lot of penalties and bookings/reds.

I changed my tactics so my players stayed in their position and maybe a few other things. Last match there was only 1 yellow card, and that was for the opposition. On top of that, according to the commentary, 3 'good' claims for a penalty were turned down. 2 of them for me :(

I don't like how quite often the yellow cards are given for "pulling a shirt" and I had a red card the other day for someone "hacking him down with two feet" when the ball was mid air. Seems a bit ridiculous to me some of the cards handed out.

Alan Smith got 20 league bookings for me in my Championship season, on EASY tackling. Says it all.
