View Full Version : Do international managers get sacked less?

25-11-2009, 20:02
I'm enjoying the new game, and I'm currently looking for a national team job as well as my club one. But I notice international managers are rarely getting sacked in the game, just going to and from insecure/safe. In the old game this never happened, and the national managers were sacked more regularly (like real life)

I haven't played up to the world cup yet but I've definitely noticed a pattern :/ can anyone fill me in?

They jobs only tend to become available at the end of major tournaments so I suppose they do get sacked/quit less often, as that only tends to be once every two years (in europe anyway)

Or when a team fails to qualify for a tournament that it was expected to.

There are usually a few sackings after tournements. Keep an eye out after the Euros, Copa, African Nations and the WC. I have been manager of two international teams in 5 seasons.

You get sacked easily but that is a story for another thread.

On my memory the Danish job became available when they were in a vey good position (2nd in european quailification group stage) a good African job always becomes available i.e Cammeron, Nigera, Ghana ect but all african teams stuggle in goalkeeping depth.

With Ghana Kingson has just retired and the only keeper i have is a really bad young English one who is half Ghanian.
