Part time/ Full time contracts

I'm manager of Northwich Victoria and all my players are on part time contracts...if i offer them full time does that mean they will have more training etc? and possibly become better players?
And are there any disadvantages to this ie do you spend more money if you offer them full time contracts? http://community.sigames.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif
