Backup Save

The power on my computer was cut in the middle of saving. The save game is only 5 mb while previous save are 32mb. When I try to load it it won't work. I have a rolling save of 10 for this reason but I noticed that in the save folder there is a backup save. Will that be a more recent version than the lastest rolling save. Is the backup playable or corrupt. It loads all right but will there be any info lost on the backup.

Any one know if the backup file is the same quality?

I know it loads all right.

The backups always work for me even if something happened while the game was saving.

When you save a game, FM...

1. Renames "save-name.fm" to "save-name (backup).fm"
   
2. Writes a new "save-name.fm"
   
3. Deletes "save-name (backup).fm"
   

So, if your save was interrupted during step 2, you should be able to rescue your game to the state of the previous save using "save-name (backup).fm".
