backpackant
It depends which country. Belgium, you'll need to send him out for three seasons in total. Holland too, I think. But Eastern Bloc countries need 4 full seasons to get European nationality.
backpackant
I didn't read your post properly. If they were already professionals at their original club, they will "homegrown" but not "trained by the club". To get "trained by the club" status they have to arrive at your club before they sign their contract. I always try and get Saivet and the like aged 16, and that way they add to my pool for future European squads. Often have to pay him a fortune to move, but he comes on a youth and signs pro when he turns 17.
