Deadbloke
The backroom advice from my assistant just contained this little nugget: Angel Vales sees 29 year-old English Attacking Midfielder Steven Gerrard as an ideal role model for 20 year-old Argentian left back Emiliano Insua. Is that a bug? Poor judgement on Vales end (as in due to his poor stats - man management, which is what stat i'm assuming would be used, is 10) ? Or is the tutoring more to do with the mental aspects of the game (determination, aggression, work rate etc.) and less to do with the position? El Serrano
I don't think it's a problem - a role model is someone who is able to provide the younger person with a guide to applying themselves in life. It doesn't mean that Gerrard is coaching him on his position, but that he is showing him the right attitude and application to being a successful footballer. Either that or it's a bug :-D

agor123
I got the same advice from my coaches. So far it seems to be working out. At least neither of them has upset the other yet as always happened to me in 09.
gunner86
I've never known a player mentoring to be interpositional, but hey, if it works it works.
