Netbook problem

Recommended Posts

FM10 works on my Samsung N140 only if I make height of FM window much smaller. Otherwise I see nothing, only black screen in my FM window (but cursor changes to "hand" if I hover on places where should be buttons like "New game", "Load game", etc).

Any ideas how to solve this problem?

If you have a destop icon for fm right click on it and select properties. In the target box add -windowed -small_screen so it look like this "C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010\fm.exe" -windowed -small_screen click apply then reboot. When you've rebooted if you click on the fm icon then the game should start in windowed mode.

If the windowed option is greyed out in preferences or you dont have an fm icon on your desktop then create one. Go to program files\sports interactive\football manager 2010 then find the fm icon then right click on it and select create shortcut. Drag this newly created shortcut on to your desktop then follow the steps above for getting the game windowed.

If you still have a black screen after doing all this then you should try updating your graphics card drivers and direct x. You should be able to get updated drivers from the manufacturer of your card. You can get the latest directx from microsoft.

It's screenshot from 1st post of this thread. I have already downloaded it before I started this thread. The problem is not in the skin.

I've got the same netbook....there's nowhere to insert the disk how on earth did you manage to get FM on your netbook?

I've downloaded it...and when I click "Launch" on Steam, the game says it's preparing to load...when that disappears and nothing happens for a wile...and I try again, it says the game i already running, when there is nothing happening :S
