Rubbish Defenders

I find that the ME decides how you're going to lose by making your defenders play absolutely rubbish and make simple mistakes. Sometimes I see the defenders just allow long balls over the top and the oppo's striker just runs onto them then scores. Surely you'd think they'd be able to mark one man but no there's a huge gap between the two and the striker runs through the middle. absolute nonsense.
