scouting Africa/Asia

Anyone know any good African or Asian scouts

Useful for scouting the African or Asian market of players?

p.s I know this isn't the right thread but seeing as i have had to re-install the game 7 times and lost a saved game in the process i don't care for SI and their "rules" anymore.

I couldn't find appropriate scouts and this worked for me: Find scouts with decent JPA/JP and high determination, doesn't matter what nation they're from. Then send them to scout the nation/area you want. Within a season, they'll be at least 1/2 bar knowledgeable in the area. After 1-2 seasons, the scouting information they send back is both plenty and accurate.

Yeah good idea. I was hoping to find at least one decent scout from that area but as you say will have to do the other approach.

I can verify it works. I am playing at a small Swedish club so not many international scouts wanted to sign with the team. By the 2nd or 3rd season I had a scout network covering the British Isles, Central Europe, Russia, Brazil, Argentina, and Northern Europe. They all have full knowledge bars in the respective areas and return lots of results, especially from South America.

That works, but in FM09 I noticed their knowledge of a particular country will decrease when scouting another country.

Haven't play FM10 alot, so not sure if it is the same.

Also, unless you got the asain leagues running (playable) or retained all top division players, you may seldom find a decent new gen.

Just curious, but do scouts improve their ability over time? Most of the top scouts are fairly old and already well grounded in Europe or South America. Would be nice to turn a young scout into an African specialist but it would be pointless if he didn't improve his stats over time.

As for the OP's question, Portsmouth have a Zimbabwean scout with reasonable JPA/JPP and Jim Lawlor of Man Utd has a little bit of South African Knowledge.
