baker.simon
Quick question, do youth players benefit from playing in pre-season friendlies? I mean, obviously its still a 1st team appearance so will it aid their improvement?

JLlo
Yeah I always take my most promising younglings with me on pre-season tours... give them a run about... can only help them!
matt_forest
I tend to play a lot of preseason games, alternating between the first team and the youth team (But I set them up so they are all 'first team' games). I started doing this as a bit of a money spinner - playing Arsenal, Chelsea, Man U, Liverpool, etc all in preseason will push your gate receipts way up before the campaign has even started - but lately I've turned them into proper 'youth' games, against suitbale opposition to give the kids a proper run out (just incase they are needed early in the season).
