Players losing accomplished positions?

Playing as Man City, attempted to retrain some players for different positions. Examples: Barry (DL), Kompany (DR), Jo (AML), De Jong (WBR), Robinho (AMR). Certain players have lost their positional abilities.

Can players lose their ability to be "accomplished" in positions that have been retrained in? If so, why?

Yes but thats no problem from FM10 i already noticed that in FM09 as i stoped them to train the new position. I dont know why in my opinion its a bug.

If a player is less versatile then they will lose a newly learned position over time ( I read it somewhere - didn't remember the sources now )

Thanks. I've been training them for about half a season in the same new position and they still lost that new position within a month. Not to mention, I actually needed that player to play in that position due to a horrendous amount of injuries.

You have to constantly train and play him in that position in order to retain the position value. Doesn't really make sense when their initial position value wouldn't drop....
