You're pretty much bang on the minimum spec as far as I can see - the graphics card may even be under it.

I'd suggest;

- Ensuring that all your drivers (graphics / sound), DirectX and Java are up to date.

- Minimising database size.

- Removing some of the graphical options in 3d mode (stadium etc).

Could be caused if your running lots of leagues, running with 1GB memory with lots of leagues will make it run slower....

- the graphics card may even be under it..

I think it's likely the processor more than anything else. As Matt said, that really is bare minimum spec for FM. Try playing in countries like Australia where there's only the one league, then you won't feel like you're missing out on much and it should run alright

Thanks guys my fan goes mental when i play Fm gets really hot.I will try and update everything and unpick the graphical options for 3D.

Most likely you memory. I had the same amount of memory in my PC, doubled it, now I have no problems. Might cost you around $70 if you can install it yourself.
