Restoring laptop to factory settings but keeping saved games

Is it possible for me to keep my saves if I restore my laptop to factory settings and if so could somebody please explain how.

I'm using the steam version if that changes anything.

Just go to:

C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010\games

Copy all the files you see there (or all the ones you want to keep) to somewhere that won't get wiped. You don't need to copy config.xml, but whatever, not a huge point. A flash drive, email them to another computer, copy to DVD, whatever. You can do the same with saved tactics and training. Then whenever you reinstall the game, whereever you reinstall the game, just reinsert them in the equivalent folder.
