Makollig Jezvahted
from the FM10 manual: flair = A natural talent for the creative and occasional unpredictability. A player with a lot of flair will be one of the key attacking components in any team but at the same time may need tactical restraint to get the best out of him. Flair and Creativity work well together.
FlUoReScEnT aDoLeScEnT
The FM manual has it spot on to be fair and to put in contect. C.Ronaldo has bags of flair, the ability to change the flow of the game with one movement or faint of the shoulder, but may need to be told don't do it as often and only at certain times otherwise they could lose the ball often or miss to many chances. Takamaru
As the backroom advice often says in terms of an overall team having high flair "the ability to perform magic"... if that helps. .
Barkermush
A player who can be unpredictable. Take it past 3 or 4 players and curl into the corner of the net out of nothing. I watched Adel Taarabt do this for QPR on tv a couple weeks ago. But players with high flair can also frustrate their managers, Because they try so many things they can often give the ball away. That's what makes them so unpredictable, But the talent to do something magical is definitely there with a player who as high flair.
fyl2u
If someone has high dribbling but low flair, it means he can run with a ball very well, but isn't going to be too successful going round players because he's too predictable. Great if he's fast and you're using a counter-attacking strategy and your opponent's defensive line is high. High flair but low dribbling, might get a job at the local circus doing ball-juggling tricks but falls over his feet trying to run with the ball. High flair and high dribbling = defenders left for dead and not even chasing because they haven't noticed the player has gone past them until they're 10 yards away

That goal was awesome, literally come out of nothing.. he just dribbled past a couple people, opened his body and curled it top right, superb! Spanky_202
So that's where I've been going wrong, I always assumed this was a measure of a player's ability to shake a decent cocktail.

Barkermush
But don't be fooled just because a player has high flair does not mean he will be good. If a player is rubbish but has high flair, Although he will try to do unpredictable things, He will ultimatly be rubbish at doing it Technique is an important attribute i look for with flair, Technique is how good a player is with what he does with a ball and how he as the ball under his control. Also dribbling and balance, With the high flair he his going to be unpredictable at which way he his going to turn and he will take on more than 1 player at times. So if he as a good balance he will be able to turn this way, that way and in & out without loosing his footing. Creativity is a bonus too. If you have a player with High flair, Good technique, Good Blalance, Good dribbling and high creativity. Then you have got your-self a keepie
