SteakAndChips
Apart from the obvious defend to the hills, is there any way this can be avoided. its very annoying playing catch-up al the time! thanks
Paolo
Do what i do, score early goals haha Real answer: not sure mate. Check your defenders concentration levels, are they all low?
rinso
what's your starting set-up like? attacking? defensive?
daryn
I tend to get this a lot when my team haven't gelled properly or morale is low. I normally ride it out as it doesn't happen for too long a period of time. I did have some success by lowering the amount of creativity my players have early on so they play percentage football and by playing more defensive than I would normally like
SteakAndChips
It's been happening for two years, I am Newcastle and have kept the same back four of Jose Enrique, Ryan Taylor (he is terrible i know, any advice of who to bring in), coloccini, Stuart Taylor. Caceres is coming for a free in the summer
joshpmilton
Do you do your own team talks? I found I was conceding early but changed my team talks and now rarely concede early.

When you say changed do you mean got your Ass Man to do them? Or just not do one at all?
SteakAndChips
whats the line you take with team talks?
joshpmilton
No I changed what I said to them and it seems to be working. You need to make sure your team talks reflect your squad mentality as well as their current morale.
daryn
I find them quite sensitve so tend to go easy most of the time. As I play with smaller teams and bring through younger players into my first team I use "no pressure" a lot. Only if the odds are stacked heavily in my favour do I go with "expect a win". Even then I check the other teams morale, star player and predicted league finish I'm never harsh to the team, only individually to any experienced older players that aren't playing well
