Who will start a new game when patch 10.2 is out

According to the strategy SI (Miles IIRC) posted, the first patch is sometime at the nd of December; then the data patch start of February.

I never buy the game until at least the 2nd patch (sometimes 3rd). Hoping that the 2nd is out in time for Xmas holidays

If I was to guess... possibly one pre-christmas and the a data (transfers etc) patch mid-late feb, early march.

But maybe they'll just wait until after January before they'll do one,

Mate, this game is vastly improved on the last few. If im honest... im not even caring about another patch, yes there is still a few problems but the game is superb for me just now. im happy. I'd go out and buy it just now, and get your FM fix haha.

As for will i restart my game. No is the simple answer to that. Really enjoying FM for the first time in a few years.

Some people are just way too anal with the necessity of patches. You'd think the game was utterly unplayable. Granted, the first patch is a requirement, but you must have some monk type qualities to sustain from buying it and waiting for a 3rd or possibly 4th.

I'll be playing my current save up until the third patch in February hopefully. At which point I'll start over at the bottom and add some more nations/leagues.

I will most probably start a new game when the second patch comes out. Besides, I am planning to do a clean installation of Windows 7 (it has not arrived yet for me) and start all over again.

I'm in a save with barcelona - ecuador, but i'm waiting the second patch to make a more deep carrer. And the last patch will put FM in a fantastic shape.

I'll stay with my current game.. Nothing much is wrong in my game so I cant be bothered to start a new game.

And for the jan transfer update, I see no point.. My game will be too far infront and the transfers will be all mixed up by then.

My plan this year is to stick to the same game i started with upon release,then play my annual network game in feb.

That's really unnecessary this year. I think this is the best (and most bug-free) release of FM ever.

Unless there's a major issue with 10.1 that I've not encountered then I won't start a new game. I'm really enjoying the game I've got going now and I haven't encountered any major problems so I'll carry on with it should another patch be released.

I've gone back to FM09 till patch 2 comes out for FM10. I prefer the layout of FM09 and quite frankly i think the ME (the way is plays) on FM10 is crap.

I'm in 2023 on FM09 and still really enjoying it. The only real issue on FM09 for me was the regens and the lack of good regen keepers but with FMRTE i've just made 25 random wonderkid keepers at various clucbs all over the world and made 50 or so other random players wonderkids too. I should add i didn't touch any of my own players. This should keep the game interesting with regards to the AI as there are now shed loads of potentially great players in the database.

This is the first time i've ever gone back to a previous version of FM/CM after a new game has come out. For me FM10 has been such a dissappoinment.

I guess that's something personal then. I have no issues with a lack of tackles for one thing and secondly the game hasn't crashed once on my Mac.

I have a savegame now that i enjoy. Can i carry on the savegame when 10.2 comes out or do i have to start again

plus the game has a massive memory leak play it for 4 or so season and you will go past the 2gb mark end up having to close and re open the game for it go back to a normal level

I will continue with my career game that has had me resign from Newcastle, then take the post at a struggling Marseille.

I have already won the Europa League (I only played the semi finals and final) after Deschamps resigned.

There is no point starting a new game to get the new transfers, cause as soon as you click start new game, the game generates thousands of its own transfers anyway.

Only thing im worried about is the match engine being updated and some bugs ironed out and thankfully SI are always good with releasing save game compatible patches.
