In the days of van Hooijdonk, Benito Carbone and Emerson players would sometimes go AWOL if you refused to lt them leave, making themselves unavailable for matches often until you sold them. I assume this is no longer in the game? What's the maximum POed a player can get in the current game?

Yeah, they don't turn up for training sometimes. You fine them two weeks wages for unprofessional behaviour and it usually results in them behaving for a while. But if they have serious problems you'll be told about it and given the option to allow them a couple of weeks personal leave.

I think it's unlikely that SI will introduce full-on player protests/strikes. The forums regularly errup in righteous anger when players get injured more often than users would like, or players wanting to be transfer listed, or players getting upset at being disciplined, or players at Grimsby being annoyed when you block their move to Real Madrid... you see where this is going.
