Hickz
Anyone else think this is wrong?
nigelquelch
Tom Henning Ovrebo giving Barca 2 penalties is much more wrong than it being held at St James Park. Platini still being a biased **** even in 2013 so it seems.
aiston
It's been in smaller stadiums, and St. James Park is world class, so I don't see the problem.
Ratrug101
why's chelsea got the sporting badge? :S and barcelona with chelsea's?

Gr8est manager ever
no wonder chelsea lost. Ovrebo is in charge!!! But St.James's is strange. Maybe Platini thought he would support english clubs for once and support the club which need the most help

AUS104
There is nothing wrong with St James' hosting the Champions League final. It has a 52,000 capacity (larger than some recent previous venues) and good facilites. It also meets other criteria such as ease of access, surrounding transport & infrastructure, security etc.... It has hosted internationals in Euro 96 (and England games since) and is a confirmed host for both London 2012 olympic football & the rugby 2015 World Cup. So why is it not right that it could host a European final?
cezar.sl
I'm more concerned with what's going on with those badges... Maybe the user is not Barcelona, and his next game is vs Sporting.

I would have thought it would be more likley to be hosted at one of the newer stadiums; Wembley, Emirates or City of Manc
Cockney Hammer
I'm more concerned with what's going on with those badges... Look at the date of the cup final. Then look at the date of the sporting game.
MrPompey
in 2013 Wembley was already fully booked for a series of Jedward concerts hence St James was selected instead........

eaglealan64
"Although the minimum stadium capacity for Elite categorisation is 30,000, no stadium with a capacity less than 40,000 has been selected to host a UEFA Cup (now known as the Europa League) Final and no stadium with a capacity less than 60,000 has been selected to host a UEFA Champions League Final, since these regulations were introduced in 2006." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Elite_stadium
