Defending Corners

Recommended Posts

Anyone got a decent setup for defending corners? Thanks in advance. Sorry for double thread its just i am in major need of help.

Perhaps you can elaborate on what's happening with your current setting when defending corners; this will give us a better understanding and provide you with more effective guidance.

I usually put my strikers, who are decent in the air, on the posts (based on 4-4-2). This free's up my fullbacks to man mark. Good headers of the ball, usually your CD's, should mark tall players. I bring my CM's back to man mark too. My wingers are weak in the air so I have one close down corners and the fastest one staying forward (the closing down one occassionally sets up a counter attack). It works for me, I rarely lose a goal at corners.

Anyone else get annoyed at how long it takes your players to set themselves up for the corner?
