FM 2010 Demo, Steam & Patch Advice Please

I have downloaded & currently enjoying the Strawberry download demo, via Steam. I am now coming up to the 6 month period, when the demo is likely to cease. I have now purchased the CD-Rom disc version of the game to carry on. However, how do I carry on with the saved games when I put the disk in, and does the disk version include the patch ?. I am happy to carry on using Steam (as presumably I can carry on playing without the disk being inserted or is Steam solely for downloaded versions) ? Any advice would be appreciated please

you just load the saved game in FM as you would normally do

You can install the game from the disk using steam, and that will automatically keep the game up to date, installing any patches as they are released without you having to do it. The other advantage of doing it this way is that you dont need the disk to be in the computer when you play the game.

i would assume to carry on your save from the demo, you would put it into the "games" folder in your documents, but thats only a guess!
