His 2 year old daughter had just died 3 years ago and he had been suffering from depression since that. also: On 10 November 2009 he died in a train accident in Neustadt am Rübenberge. German website Morgenpost Online have quoted a spokesperson from the Hannover police as saying: 'Enke has thrown himself under a train at Neustadt am Rübenberge.' german_wunderkind Posted November 10, 2009 Author Share Posted November 10, 2009 his daughter died three years ago n he was really on the weaker side since then mentally... he brought home a tropical feever or something like that at the beginning of the current season n couldnt play for a few weeks. i guess that was said to keep the media cool n he actually had cancer or something more severe than that n couldnt cope. anyways all guesses....
