How to upload your save game to the SI FTP

Recommended Posts

If you come across a bug in FMH which can be reproduced from a save game, we may ask you to provide us with the save game file in order to help us track down and fix the cause of problem. Here's how you would go about doing so:

The FTP addess is: ftp.sigames.com

The easiest way to access the FTP is to open Windows Explorer (Windows key + E on the keyboard) and enter ftp.sigames.com in the address bar at the top of the screen. You will then be prompted for a username and password, which are:

Username: ftp-public

Password: public

You should then see two folders; FM and FMH. Open the FMH folder.

Now you can simply drag-and-drog (or copy and paste) your PSP save games into the FMH folder for us to access.

There are a few points to follow when uploading a save game:

  • Make sure you zip up your save game folder.
  • Please rename it in the following format so that we know who the save has come from and what for: your-username_bug-description
  • Post in the bugs thread with a description of your bug and the name of your uploaded save file.

Troubleshooting

Please note that after you've uploaded the files they will disappear once you close the window. If you try to overwrite a file (i.e. you have given it the same name as a file already on the FTP) you will receive an 'access denied' message.

When using Internet Explorer to upload attachments you may need to change your passive FTP setting.

This can be done by going to Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced -> then tick/unticking the 'Use Passive FTP (for firewall and DSL modem compatibility' option

If this still does not work for you then using Windows Explorer rather than Internet Explorer could solve your problem

If you are still having problems then try downloading Filezilla FTP Client from here (Filezilla is Free Opensource) or Smart FTP from here (shareware - Fee payable after 30 days).
