Having trouble getting into it

Just as the title reads. I've tried a bunch of different starts, but haven't been able to find one to get into. I usually start a game in League 2 in England, but after taking Lincoln City to 2nd in Premiership (behind ARSEnal), I haven't been able to find my niche. I didn't want to take Lincoln City and the other team I used to start with a few years back (Stockport) is in League 1. I don't want to play in a league with suffocating rules (as far as player restrictions, foreigners, etc), which is why I usually play in England or Portugal. Can anyone help give me some direction??
