Not playing anymore - I have given up

Well I started the game as Arsenal and managed to get sacked by March in my first season

Out at the qualifying stages of the champions league not even making the group stages, 7th in the league and conceding goals left right and centre

I have never had this issue in other FM games, but in this game my team was just ridiculously inconsistent and just plain awful.

I tried everything, switching tactics, changing players around, warning players for poor performances, fining them, holding urgent team meetings EVERYTHING! and nothing worked.

After such a poor first game I am at a point where I have given up on the game, a bad first experience of the game to be honest.

Me too. Totally agree. It's just the constant leaking of goals i seem unable to stop.

The worst thing you can do is keep switching tactics. Make a simple 4-4-2, keep it for 10 matches, and they'll get used to it. Make small adjustments to it if you need to.

I started as Sunderland originally which was a trainwreck, started as Spurs and I'm challenging for the title in the 2nd season, don't just give up after 1 game.

This took me two versions of FM to realise this!

You have to let your team gel to your tactics and may have to tweak training as well. It may take one game, two games or even more to get use to your tactics.
