Patched, But has it?

I don't normally get stuck in FM, hence I haven't a clue where to post this?

If it has to be moved to a suitable area, I apologise for being a inconvenient.

Well, I downloaded the patch the day it come out, and patched my game straight away, not thinking anything of it. Now I have decided to start a new game, and in the drop down menu when you choose your database, I only have one option, 10.0.0 'default' :confused:

I looked in the Program files/sports interactive/Football manager 2010/updates..

And there is 1010 update.

But how come it is not showing in the game?

Tyoldinho, check your 'Game Status' - under game information does it say 10.1.0 for your version? If so you're patched up.

The patch wasn't a data update. The database is identical, the patch only changed the actual game.

The patch wasnt a database update, hence it will say 10.0 database. On your preferences screen, it will say version number. It should say 10.1 there.

Thanks guys, guess who feels an idiot now. Yeah it says 10.1

Didn't think I did anything wrong. I just got all confused and in a huff that I couldn't choose a 10.1 database.. Now I know why!
