Unhappy Player and squad reaction

I've got this player wanted by a big, Champions League playing foreign club. He declared his interested, the player said he would have to look seriously should an offer come in then went to unhappy saying he needed to move to further his career.

Not a problem. The transfer deadline was fast approaching so I offered him out and had a bid accepted for him. More than doubling his value isn't bad for a 30 year old so I accepted.

Almost the entire first team then got unhappy at the treatment of a team-mate with several of them saying I should be more patient with my staff!

Surely this is wrong. He said he needed to leave, had a Unh next to his name and would certainly have handed in a transfer request sooner rather than later so how why are all the players getting on at me? They'd be better off having a go at the player for thinking he's bigger than the club!

Yes, this is totally annoying.

My central midfielder got sent off for the 3rd time in 6 games, of course, I fined him (1 week wage iirc), whole team got unhappy at the treatment of a team-mate and squad harmony went down..!
