pc settings to maximise speed?

where do i need to look to untick unwanted programs running when playing Fm and changing Fm10 to use the PC;'s maximum memory?

I think Windows Defender does this (minimizes unwanted programs on start up etc).

You can also just use your task manager (ctrl+alt+del) and close down unnecessary programs/services etc.

Not sure if there's any way to prioritize Fm though.

There's a free program called Game Booster that's supposed to shut down non-essential programs while you play your game. Didn't seem to make too much of a difference to me, but I have 4gb ram installed. If you're low on memory it may help out.

Really? It worked fine for me and even works with windows7. To the op you could try pressing start\run then typing msconfig that this will bring up a screen of all the programs that loads when windows stars. You could then go through them and deselect as required.
