How do I set up an online game?

Right me and a friend want to play online so I need to set up a network game and he needs to join it.

Firstly how do I set up the network game?

Secondly how does he join it?

You setup it like this:

Go to preferences > Network > Check ''Run as server'', and put some server name and password if you want

and then just create the game you want

Your friend:

Goes on start screen of the game > join network game > join other server

and then he needs to type your IP address

you can see your IP iddress on Game status once you create game
