Game currently not available please try later (Steam)

I have installed FM10 with steam and have tried to get on tonight a number of times. It comes up with updating steam platform and gets to 99% and then stops. After waiting 5-10 mins it then comes up with game not available at this time please try later.

Has anyone else been having this problem? I have never used Steam before as i always just install the game from the disc. Pretty annoying not being able to play a game i have paid for!!!
